The Force Urbania is the most comfortable vehicle we run. Leather recliners, mood lighting, tinted glass and a higher roof than a tempo traveller, in a 12 seater and a 16 seater. Outstation trips are billed at Rs.35/km for the 12 seater and Rs.38/km for the 16 seater, with a 300 km minimum per day. Send your dates and group size on WhatsApp and we will come back with a fixed fare.
The honest answer is comfort on long journeys, and you pay for it. A 14 seater tempo traveller runs at Rs.23/km against Rs.35/km for the 12 seater Urbania, so on a Kodaikanal round trip the Urbania costs meaningfully more.
What that buys is a seat you can actually sleep in. The recliners have proper travel, there is more legroom between rows, and the cabin is quieter. On a 530 km run to Kodaikanal, around ten hours each way, that difference stops being a luxury and starts being the reason everyone arrives able to walk around.
It also carries luggage better. The higher roof and deeper boot mean a group of twelve with a case each fits without a roof carrier, which a tempo traveller of similar seat count will not manage.
For a two hour run to Mahabalipuram, a tempo traveller is the sensible booking. For eleven hours to Munnar, an overnight temple circuit, or a client you are collecting from the airport, the Urbania is what we would put you in.
The 12 seater is the common booking: a family group, a senior couple travelling with children, or an executive party of eight to ten who want room to spread out.
The 16 seater at Rs.38/km makes sense when the group genuinely needs the seats. Booking a 16 seater for ten people to get extra space is usually worse value than booking the 12 seater, because the per km difference applies to every kilometre of the trip.
The Urbania is booked most often for the long hill and pilgrimage routes where the comfort earns its cost.
The Kodaikanal drive via Dindigul is the standard route with one meal break. On the ghat section the driver will switch the AC off, which is normal practice on a long climb and reduces engine load.
The fare covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel and toll where we have said so. Parking is at actuals. An inter-state permit applies when the route crosses into Kerala or Andhra and typically adds Rs.1,500 to Rs.2,500 depending on the number of days.
If something is not in the written quote, ask before you confirm and we will put it in writing.
Our drivers are Chennai based and drive the Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra routes regularly. They speak Tamil, know the toll points and temple parking rules, and will follow temple dress code on request. On executive and airport pickups they carry a change of clothes.
Confirm the variant. The 12 and 16 seater are priced differently and the gap applies across the whole trip. Tell us the real group size and we will quote the one that fits rather than the larger one by default.
Multi-day trips need a driver rest window. On a Munnar or Coorg circuit, plan the itinerary so the driver gets proper rest between long legs. We will flag it if a schedule you send does not allow for it.
Book early for season. Kodaikanal, Ooty and Munnar in season means the Urbanias go first, because there are fewer of them than tempo travellers. If your dates are fixed, confirm early rather than a week before.
Call or WhatsApp +91 73055 59949 with your dates, route and group size. We send a written quote, an advance confirms it, and the vehicle is dispatched on the day. If you are weighing the Urbania against a tempo traveller, send the route and we will price both so you can see the difference before deciding.

Short and medium-distance trips this vehicle is most booked for.
The 12 seater is Rs.35/km and the 16 seater is Rs.38/km on outstation trips, with a minimum of 300 km a day and driver bata of Rs.1,000 a day. The tariff table on this page shows the live rate and works out an estimate for your distance.
We run two variants: a 12 seater and a 16 seater, in both cases plus the driver. If you see 10, 13 or 17 seater Urbanias quoted elsewhere, those are different interior layouts of the same vehicle. Ours are the 12 and the 16.
On long journeys, usually yes. A 14 seater tempo traveller is Rs.23/km against Rs.35/km for the 12 seater Urbania, so a short run does not justify it. On ten or eleven hour drives to Kodaikanal, Ooty or Munnar, the recliners and the extra legroom are the difference between arriving rested and arriving stiff. Send us the route and we will price both.
Yes, more than a tempo traveller of similar seat count. The higher roof and deeper boot take a case per person for a group of twelve without needing a roof carrier. If you are carrying unusual luggage such as instruments or event equipment, tell us the dimensions when you book.
Book for the group you actually have. Taking the 16 seater for ten people to get extra room usually costs more than it is worth, because the per km difference applies to every kilometre of the trip. For ten or fewer, the 12 seater is the better booking.
No, it is a separate line at Rs.1,000 a day. It shows in the written quote alongside the per km rate so you can see the full cost before you confirm.
Yes, an inter-state permit applies and typically adds Rs.1,500 to Rs.2,500 depending on how many days you travel. Munnar, Thekkady, Wayanad and Sabarimala all cross into Kerala. It goes in the quote before you confirm.
Yes, and it is a common booking for exactly that. Local and airport work runs on fixed hour and km packages rather than per km, because a day where the vehicle waits is not a day of driving. Tell us the hours and the waiting points and we quote the package.
Earlier than you would for a tempo traveller. We hold fewer Urbanias than tempo travellers, and in the Kodaikanal, Ooty and Munnar season they go first. If your dates are fixed, confirm early rather than in the final week.
